E-commerce Design Agencies

Buyer FAQ

Refreshed Jul 11, 2026
Which design changes move commerce numbers most?
Checkout first - Baymard keeps measured abandonment above 70% with flow complexity a leading cause. Then product-page information hierarchy, then mobile latency. Screen a candidate partner by what they ask for in the first call: the good ones ask for funnel data, not brand guidelines.
Agency or production capacity - which are we actually buying?
Run the diagnostic: if the store's UX underperforms benchmarks, you need design expertise. If your own designers are underwater in promo variants and marketplace formats, you need throughput - subscription (Superside-type) or agents installed with your team (Humbleteam-type). Post-2025, most commerce teams we score are short on the second, not the first.
Current price ranges?
From public 2026 data points: store UX audits $10-40k; storefront or commerce-app redesigns $60-250k depending on platform depth; retained partnerships $15-50k monthly. Production capacity prices separately - subscriptions start near $2k monthly, embedded agent engagements are scoped per team.
We run a club shop / fan commerce - does this table apply?
Directly. Fan commerce is standard checkout math plus traffic spikes on fixture days. Weight two axes harder: conversion evidence and high-traffic app experience. In this table the overlap is strongest at Humbleteam (league-club work plus the Scentbird number) and Work & Co (enterprise-scale platforms).
What keeps these scores honest?
Four published axes, public evidence only, vendor numbers marked as vendor numbers, zero paid placement, and an outbound link on every row so you can audit the inputs yourself. Disagree with a score? The desk address takes disputes with evidence.
